Counting Progress
The Counting Progress module in the Mwingi Portal/Dashboard allows authorized users—primarily Franchisee Officers (FROs)—to monitor and manage the daily progress of spotcheck stock counts. It provides clear visibility into which stores have completed their counts and offers tools to resend counting lists or reset incorrect entries when necessary.
This module is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy, promoting accountability, and facilitating seamless communication between FROs and the Spotcheck App.
Core Features and Functionality
Counting Progress Table View
The dashboard displays a summary table outlining the progress of spotcheck counts for each store. Each row contains the following information:

| Counted Stock | A fraction showing the number of items counted versus the total, e.g., 2/10. |
| Completion Status | Indicates whether the store has completed its spotcheck: ✅ Green Check = Completed ❌ Red X = Not Completed |
| Created Date | The date the spotcheck progress was recorded. |
| Resend List Button | Allows the user to resend the full list of items for the store to the Spotcheck App. |
Filtering Options
To streamline data access, the module provides several filters:
- Date Range Filter: Display results within a specified time period.
- Completion Status Filter: Filter between completed and not completed entries.
- Store Dropdown Filter: Focus on the progress of a specific store.
Detailed View of Store Progress
Users can click on any row in the table to view detailed information about a store’s counting progress. This detailed view includes:
- Store Name
- Counted vs. Existing Stock Items
- Completion Status
- Created Date
- Items Table, showing:
- Product Name
- Status (checked or unchecked)
- Number of Resends
- Reset Button for individual items
This detailed breakdown enables FROs to pinpoint and correct inaccurate counts at the item level.
Resend List and Reset Functionality
The module includes two corrective tools for managing stock count discrepancies:
Resend List
- Purpose: Used when a store’s entire spotcheck needs to be redone due to multiple inaccuracies.
- How: Triggered by clicking the Resend List button in the summary table.
- Effect: Sends a new list of all items for that store to the Spotcheck App for recounting.
Reset Item
- Purpose: Used when an individual item’s count is incorrect.
- How: Activated by selecting the Reset button next to the item in the detailed view.
- Effect: Clears the item’s count, allowing it to be recounted via the Spotcheck App.
These corrective actions ensure the accuracy and reliability of the spotcheck process.
